When Kim and Bryant try to notify Diane Phipps of her husband’s murder, they are redirected by her “sister” Leanne. Did you question the relationship at the time? Who did you think she was, as well as her true motives at the time?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) It was very early on in the story so I didn't have any theories at this time. Leanne seemed very bossy and taking over but it was still in the realm of normal reaction for a sister to take over when something so awful had happened I guess.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I didn't think anything about her sister except that she was protective of her family. I did think it was kind that she didn't make Diane identify her husband's body. Leanne didn't make me suspicious until she went to the morgue.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments When Leanne was introduced as the sister, I didn't think anything of it. She seemed to be trying to help Diane through the death of her husband. As soon as Diane and family disappeared, I started questioning if Leanne was actually her sister.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I have to admit that my mind went back to the last book when siblings were a major part of the story, making me suspicious.

Yeah, I went their, too, Lynn. I thought her overprotective behavior was over the top and Diane’s reaction underwhelming.

Lynn (ftbooklover) Am I giving Angela Marsons too much credit if I think she might have planned it that way?

Nope. She’s wicked like that😏

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments I was suspicious immediately.
It was impossible at this point not to compare Penny and Trisha to Dianne and Leanne. The lack of physical resemblance, together with Leanne's uncaring reaction and almost domineering attitude (her grip on Dianne) that their relationship wasn't sisterly.
