Endearing is a good word for it! non-believable in the World According to Garp way I think.
I did not enjoy it as much as you (and a lot of others) did-I was hoping for belly laughs and only got weak smiles. Just was not for me. I gave it 2 1/2 stars but rounded up on it
On his 100th birthday, Allan Karlsson escapes from the old-folks home and begins an adventure. The absolutely ridiculous results had me laughing through the whole book.
During flashbacks, we learn what Allan had been doing during his 100 years on earth. Completely non-believable, over-the-top and yet so endearing.
