Please use this thread to introduce yourself. Tell us a little about yourself!

Hi all!
I'm Leticia. I created this reading challenge because 50 prompt reading challenges can be too restrictive, especially as a book reviewer. I also run a mental health peer to peer support group for people with my disorder (agoraphobia and anxiety). I'm from Ontario, Canada and my reading pal is my dog Schen, he's good for keeping legs warm!

I'm so super glad to see you all here! Welcome!

Happy Reading in 2022

Emily | 2 comments This sounds like so much fun - thanks for organizing and creating the themes!

Introductions: My name is Emily. I'm an elementary school teacher and cat mom living just outside Washington, DC, USA. I'm an avid reader. I read a little bit of everything, but my favorite genres are mystery/thriller, contemporary fiction, young adult, and romance. Nice to meet everyone, and happy reading!

Thanks Leticia! When I saw this challenge the simple either/or choice per month really appealed to me, and I appreciated a number of the themes.

I'm from Temecula, California, USA. I too am an avid reader: I'm in two Book Clubs + this challenge + everything else I want to read :)
I intentionally try to read a wide variety of genres, different years, international works, and various diverse voices to keep me well rounded, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Science Fiction. I don't just enjoy reading, I really like sharing what I've been reading (and hear from others as well), so challenges like this are fun. Enjoy!

Amy (amybtate) | 16 comments thanks for planning this challenge! I'm a mom of 2 from Northern Maryland. I have always loved reading, but didn't have as much time for it when my kids were tiny. During the pandemic, I was able to restart my reading habits as a way to maintain some sanity! I must love contemporary fiction, historical fiction, and mystery/suspense, but I'll read almost anything! I'm in one book club and doing a few challenges. another goal of mine is to read more books by authors of color this year.

Karen (kkondrick) | 20 comments I thought I had already introduced myself. oops... I am an elementary school librarian in Western New York . I have been a reader on and off. These last two years I have found reading challenges really help me to read more. I have lead a reading movement in my small rural school and many of our teachers have been reading and sharing challenges. Our students have even got into it. Thank you so much for this challenge it is a great fit for those who do not want a 50 book challenge but what to expand their reading.

Teresa (lexicon1982) | 1 comments Hi! I’m Teresa, currently living in Southern California with the hubby, son and Corgi. I’m an avid reader and really just love all things bookish! I read most genres although I admit I probably do not read as much non-fiction and memoirs as I should. Favorite genres right now are Police Procedurals, Dystopian Sci-Fi and Historical Fiction. Favorite books of all time in no particular order (but may change if something amazing came along) are: Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carrey, Wildflower Hill by Kimberley Freeman, The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne, The Edge of Lost by Kristina McMorris and The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal.
