What is your current review ratio? 87% (but have reviewed all books I have read) once I review the 9 I have on my shelf I will be at 100%
As a rough guess, how many books do you get approved from as a percentage of total books requested? Would guess about 9 out of 10 books requested are approved
How many or how often do you get books you 'wished' for? I have had two wishes granted so far out of 4 books wished for.
How many or how often do you get offered widgets? Only been offered one (although people seem to be offered them all the time)
How many, if any, publishers are you auto-approved for? None so far

Ok, tech unsavvy question: what the heck is a widget when it comes to netgalley? I know what a widget is on my phone... lol
Widgets refer to emails that publishers send directly to you asking you to read a book. Then the link to download the book is there without going through the request/wait period. Voila! It's a widget, lol.
It is when a publisher contacts you directly and offers you the chance to read a book without you needing to request it.So they pro-actively seek you out rather than you needing to go looking. I only had one from a publisher where I had read a few of their books recently

2! Encantos Media Studios, FaithWords. Both garbage. lol. One is English-Spanish language baby books and one is religious!

I try not to go wild requesting books bc I want to keep my percentage at least at 80% as realistically, these are not the only books I read. lol

Mine is 32%! Yay someone who's as bad as me! 🤣 I did get up to 33% before I had my baby and now I have like 20 reviews to write but still keep requesting and getting approved so I lost 1%. lol

Note: When I first joined I was requesting just about everything that looked good to me. I didn't realize 2 things: there were archive dates and I was supposed to review them. So, I eventually stopped requesting any when I realized that I was "losing" books or at least I couldn't find them to read so I didn't request anymore for several years. I have a ton of books that I had gotten in 2013 and 2014 that I don't have access to anymore, so it really messed up my ration / percentage. I eventually went back on and started reading and reviewing so now I'm finally getting a somewhat respectable score.

Oh Vicki, you are my NetGalley twinnnn! I did the same exact thing, just went absolutely bonkers on requesting when I joined. lol. I'm still deep in the hole but I'm finally over 30%!

I think I've been declined for around 15-20% of books.

Looking back through my emails, I've had 3 granted, but I'm not sure how many I've wished for.

I don't check every email from Netgalley (as I'll request too many if I do!), so I'm not very sure about this, but one or two a month maybe?

None at the moment!
I used to be auto-approved for two or three, but I took a break from Netgalley for around 4 years (lockdown and I had kids), and during that time, the auto-approvals disappeared. I'm back reviewing again now, so hopefully I'll get auto-approved by some again in future, although right now, I'd prefer not to so I can get my ratio up above 80%!
I did the same as other reviewers and requested a lot in the early days and some I didn't download before the archive date. I'm catching up on some (very!) old ones on there now with a goal to clear at least 50% of the list (around 30-40 books) by the end of the year.
