Welcome to the What Alice Forgot Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on December 20th and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Molly Yay I can’t wait! My copy came sooner from the library than I thought, so I’ve already started🙊 trying to slow down to stay on track!

Melanie | 167 comments I started today so it’s okay to start. This is the second book by this author I’ve read and I have to say, she has a knack for starting out her books with a very compelling “problem.” I thought all day how disorientating it would be to have to wake up and not know anything of the past 10-years.

Melanie | 167 comments Molly, where are you in this book? It’s giving me all the feels. I can’t put it down. I need to discuss!

Molly Dude! I know!! You are flying through the book! You definitely passed me. I’m about 1/3 through. I agree, I’m feeling all sorts of things. And I keep thinking what it would be like if I woke up 10 years later. Can you even imagine??

Melanie | 167 comments Exactly. I am flying through. And I just keep imagining myself in the story. I can’t help it. In the context of the gospel, I wonder what it would be like if I could genuinely not remember the things I had done that caused harm, or if I couldn’t remember any of the little injuries you get from the people you love — over the course of a lifetime. I’m just so in awe of the weightlessness of her perspective.

Melanie | 167 comments Molly, I've finished. I couldn't stop myself. Can't wait to hear what you thought of the book. And can't wait to discuss with Megan and Katie as well.

Molly I just finished to. What a ride! I kept imagining myself in the story as well!

Melanie | 167 comments Me too. I kept thinking about what burdens I carry around because of memory and how my relationships could be different if I just let some things go.
