BookLovingLady (deceased Jan. 25, 2023...) | 3056 comments Gisteren heb ik De vrije negerin Elisabeth (1993) uitgelezen. Het is een bijzonder goede, populair geschreven, roman. Het boek niet verwarren met Elisabeth Samson: een vrije zwarte vrouw in het achttiende-eeuwse Suriname, want dit is een studie waarop de roman gebaseerd is. Als je van historische romans houdt, niet al te moeilijk, dan zou ik zeggen: Lezen! Het verhaal speelt in de 18de eeuw (1733-1771) en is verdeelt in vier delen.
