Martha☀ | 240 comments Organizing my unorganized mind!

I am new to this group and new to maintaining a member page. Very exciting! But I don't want it to suck up my precious reading time. I'll keep track of my completed books in a single post and with each challenge having its own post.

Besides the challenge of number of books, I also set other personal goals for the year:
GOALS
✅️ 1. 60+ books [actual = 73!]
✅️ 2. 20% non-fiction=12 [actual = 43% (31/73) ]
✅️ 3. Review every book read
✅️ 4. Join 1 yearly challenge (3) [TBR Jar, I Spy, Bookworms]
❌️ 5. Join 1 quarterly challenge
❌️ 6. Join 1 buddy read/TBR Twin challenge

It has been a great reading year for me. Thank you to all my GR buddies (specifically those BT ladies!) whose reviews and comments have breathed life into my shelves and helped me stretch and diversify my reading. I fell into a slump during this December but the other 11 months were filled with enjoyable and memorable titles. I am proud to see that 2/3 of my books came from the public library and I cleared many titles off my want-to-read shelf. I didn't make my non-fiction reading goal (20% of my books) but I exceeded my usual number of 5-star reads by a long shot.
Five Star Titles
The Dog Stars by Peter Heller Braiding Sweetgrass Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer Valentine by Elizabeth Wetmore The Illusion of Separateness by Simon Van Booy The River by Peter Heller The Pull of the Stars by Emma Donoghue And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger Wenjack by Joseph Boyden Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne Medicine Walk by Richard Wagamese Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx The Story of a New Name (The Neapolitan Novels #2) by Elena Ferrante Undeniable Evolution and the Science of Creation by Bill Nye
