Due to unforeseen issues; we the Mods of OtSP, want to ensure that each and every member of this group feels safe and protected when coming here. We are all here for the same reason: A love of reading. This group is not the place for bullying, teasing, harassment, stalking, etc.
This group is welcoming to all people, so long as they come here to discuss books with kind words and open minds. We actively seek to read books by different people from all walks of life, and take the safety of our group members very seriously. We will ban anyone who is abusive to other members and will shut down threads that become overly contentious.
Please note that while we encourage discussion and the sharing of ideas, the primary focus of this group is to discuss books and our experiences as readers. Topics beyond this which cause strife, dispute, anger or other negative opinions of fellow readers, or posts containing generalizations that disparage entire groups (regardless of moderator opinion) will be deleted. This is why sex, religion and politics should not be discussed. As said in previous post: No cussing. Yes, we are all grown; but let's try to be polite. I love a good cussword, but it is not necessary.
If you are ever feeling threatened or attacked, we encourage you to immediately flag the comment and to message a moderator so that we can either correct the behavior or be on the lookout for other patterns of abuse which may include swift and discreet banishment. We are always here for you. You are seen. Your comfort matters and we're listening.
If you see any posts that break the rules and that are not addressed within 24 hours, please let us know.

We have designed this book club to enable others to discuss books in a peaceful environment.
We just have a few rules:
1. Be Kind. Refrain from slanderous or offensive remarks toward others.
2. No self promotion. (Authors, please do not spam the files with links to your books, that’s just not cool.)
3. No cursing. It’s just not necessary.
4. Absolutely no Politics, Religion, or Sex posts or threads.
