Wolf Hall was surprisingly great. I've got my first Leigh Bardugo on my book shelf. It will be one of my 12 + 4 challenges, I believe and will probably qualify for my tomes as well. I've read one Sarah Waters previously and thought it was great. Good luck with your selections.

Denise (derickert) | 1268 comments Completed House of Gucci A True Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden , gave it 4 stars.
A very detailed account of the history of the Gucci empire. I enjoyed the added pictures of the family that was included, it made the story more real. It was very interesting to read about all the legal battles that took place.

I'm glad you liked "Gucci" because it's coming up for me as well. And I agree with you about "The Island" -- I read that fairly early on after hearing about Elinbrand, and liked it at the time, but you are correct that her newer works are stronger. I really liked the "Paradise" series.

Denise (derickert) | 1268 comments Finished Billy Summers by Stephen King , gave it 4 stars. What a great story and any fan of Stephen King should read this. I would classify this more of suspense/thriller. This book really showcased Mr. King's talents. There was so many twists and turns and the ending left a tear in my eye.

Thanks for the review Denise. I have yet to read one of his books but this looks like one I could enjoy!
