Thankyou! Well, I consider these lists as a loooongtime challenge but a few of those books will hopefully be read soon. =)
I am hopeless, what can I say ....

Thankyou, Carolien =). I am actually trying to only list books that I have unread in my own shelves. I am hopeless when it comes to collecting books that I truely want BUT then tend to borrow other books at the library. I need to getting my act together. Having said that there are a few books in these lists that I haven't got but really do want to read. And I couldn't find any books for those years that I have so I will definitely consider your suggestions. I must confess that prior to your suggestions I have always thought that Barbara Pym was a writer in the style of Barbara Cartland. (Well, that doesn't have to be bad if one likes that genre, because I guess that Barbara Cartland is the queen of romance, I just don't like that genre). Now, you made me read a little about Barbara Pym and I understand I have misjudged her completely. I will certainly keep those writers in mind. Thankyou =)

I just finished Excellent Women and it is brilliant. My first by her as well and I was blown away.

My bookshelf for 2021 has a lot of 1930's books on it if authors will help you. It's marked as 2021 if you need ideas.

And my bookshelves will also benefit from this approach! I seem to have tons of unread ones.

I started to comment yesterday, but realized you were still working on the challenges. I totally understand trying to read the things you already own!! It is always a piece to my planning. I know where to come if I want to look for books from a decade!

Yes, I have completely overdone this now =D! But you are welcome to take a peek whenever you want. My son asked me "how far back will you take this? To Gilgamesh ?" I laughed and said "No, of course not" ... and now I'm already waaaay further back than I told him - which was only to the beginning of the 20th century. I'm a totally mad person sometimes I gather. Enough is enough, now. (I think).
