Cuckoo Song - onomatopoeia"
Thanks. I surprisingly discovered 'The Paper Menagerie & Other Stories' before I even saw your post. It does sound interesting.

My favorite author is Terry Pratchett, and I cannot find any books with a quote from him on the cover. :-(

I've been asking around and no luck here either. I can't believe Sir Terry would never have blurbed another book, but I suppose it's possible.

:-(
I'm just really anal about things like this, but it's just a fun challenge, it's not like I'm going to jail for not following the prompts precisely :-D

No idea if he ever gave a cover quote for him or not, but my first thought was Neil Gaiman? They wrote together, so he'd be my first port of call if I was looking for someone he might have given a cover quote for.

The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival

I think so. I've been doing the same thing.

I'm starting with this one, as some of the tasks this year are really difficult, a lot of suggestions i found for other tasks are not applicable here in italy (different titles, covers or books that have not even been published here)

I do this everytime (alredy completed 6 prompts) and I know a lot of people do the same! Anyway the purpose of this challange is to have fun! Make your own rules :)

Fantastic Fiction has a couple of recommendations at the bottom of his author page, but I have not heard of either one to vouch for them. I might read something by one of his friends and contemporaries like C.S. Lewis or Charles Williams.

You have different books for the title and the cover. The cover is for Life of Pi by Yann Martel =)

I know that way able ago now but this night help.
is you scroll to the bottom there are recommendations from him and even quotes on why he recommends them. perhaps not an exact match for what your looking for but it might help

Thank you very much for the advice, I've found an edition of "Out of the Silent Planet" by C.S. Lewis with a quote from Tolkien on the cover!

Duology Nonfiction: Myth Ritual and Religion, Volume 1 and Myth Ritual and Religion Volume 2 by Andrew Lang

I'll certainly take those all into consideration.
And now that I see that a 'duology' can mean volumes then it's perfect.

I would suggest you check out the discussion topics and related listopias the mods have set up. 😉

If you're stuck for what to read I have just read Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue.
The prompts it covers are:
2. A Sapphic Book.
8. A book with a protagonist who uses a mobility aid.
16. A book about witches.
20. A book whose title begins with the last letter of your previous read (depending on what you last read, of course).
24. A book you can read in one sitting (about 140 pages depending on which edition you get. Mine was on Kindle).
And there are a few more on there you might be able to squeeze in.
Personally, I rated it 3-stars as it's not really my thing but I managed to read it over two days. I just thought I'd give you some ideas if you were stuck.

Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal or other books by Mary Roach

I read:After Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

I could also swear that someone posted a link to NYT best sellers lists either last year or the year before, but now I can’t find it, though I remember using it to find a book for one of the prompts. It listed all their best sellers by decades, for both fiction and nonfiction.

Okay so then it's perfectly fine if we can use books published in that time frame?

For starters I'm looking for book suggestions regarding these topics:
1.) A book with a tiger or "tiger" in the title
2.) A book with an onomatopoeia in its title
