21st Century Literature discussion

Nominating guidelines:
- Fiction (original & translation, if applicable) first published between January 1, 2000 and February 1, 2021. For translations the latter date must be an English edition.
- One nomination per person (please do not nominate or vote for a book unless you are certain you can read and discuss if it wins)
- A book this group has not yet read (see the group bookshelf or the Index of all Group Reads here)
- A book that is not better suited to the wild card (genre) category

I nominate The Buried Giant

Based on Patty's recommendation, I'd like to nominate Jon McGregor's If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things. I've been wanting to read more of his work and her review rekindled that goal.

I often can't decide, so I often don't vote in polls, and just wait to see if I want to read the winner, but I have swooped in to the rescue here.... unless someone else does too and doesn't pick the one I did ;)

Looks like we have a two-way tie now. I was about to vote but my top choice would put us back to a three-way tie.

Still a two way tie, just over half an hour left - we could be heading for another poll. I can only influence it by voting for my least favourite of the three.

The Buried Giant is on my wish list.

I always miss the poll notification, I have a hunch that it is because of time zone, I use app and every morning it shows me only 50 notifications , I miss all 51 onwards.

Nice, I was going to break the tie if needed by changing my vote from my own nomination to the Buried Giant, so glad it worked out. :)
