Hi Andrea! Question: When you say category do you mean every two weeks you will say a number and we read the book from our shelf or do you mean for example it could be a genre or anything that we have to pick out of our shelf?

Thanks Andrea. I just have a question again about the shelf for this challenge and the crushing TBR challenge - I know we had to declare a shelf we want to use, but for example, when we read a book from the want to read shelf, it automatically moves to currently reading and then read. Is that a problem or was the shelf just for ease of reference to select books from?

Question: what happens if we don't have a book that fits the category? (Hoping to get back into reading again after some massive slumps and trying to pick my challenges carefully so I don't end up stressing myself into another one.) ;)

There are a couple of options there. You may either wait to do that task until you add a book to your shelf that fits the category, or we can discuss alternates that are similar enough if there's a task you don't have a book for.
For example, in one group with a similar challenge, they once called out a task with "sister" or "brother" in the title. I had none on my designated shelf, so I asked the moderator what I should do and gave some other familial words as options of what I did have (daughter, mother, bride, husband, etc.). The moderator allowed for "daughter" or "son" as alternate options (because they were similar to "sister" and "brother"), and that allowed me to find a book that would work.
I anticipate allowing such similarities here as well, for anyone who doesn't have a book to match a certain call-out. Just let me know if that's the case in any given round, and we can check out some options from your chosen shelf.
