Nidhi Kumari | 246 comments I will be following your comments here on GR. I am also very interested in Zola’s work, next year I plan to read at least three of them.

Cleo (cleopatra18) | 139 comments That’s awesome, Valerie! I’m doing the same project but at a much slower pace. Zola is an amazing artist but I find some of the content a little heavy to go at a fast clip. I’m on Le Reve.

I’m so envious you can read it in French!! I’d love to be able to but with my level of French it would take much too long.

In any case, have fun!

Janelle | 848 comments I’m making my way through the series as well. And the same as Cleo, I’m so jealous that you’re reading in French :)

That's so cool to hear of others reading the series!

Cleo (cleopatra18) | 139 comments What book are you on Janelle?? And are you reading in Zola’s recommended order??

message 12: by Janelle (new)

Janelle | 848 comments Cleo, I’m up to The Sin of Abbé Mouret. I’m just reading in publication order, so that’s the fifth book. I’ve read many of them before, and in no particular order. The first I read was La Bête Humaine.

message 13: by Cleo (new)

Cleo (cleopatra18) | 139 comments I’m on book 5 too but since I’m reading them in Zola’s recommended order we are totally out of sync. 😆 But it would be nice to keep in touch to see how we’re all doing. And to get a little inspiration/push, when needed.

Nidhi Kumari | 246 comments Oh yes ...I didn’t notice that the plan is beginning from January 2022. So glad I found your thread, I am not very good at reviewing but I follow others‘ point of view. Looking forward to start these books.
