Yeah, i totally agree with you! I'm already calling that book my fav just from the snippets I've read 😁

So do you guys want to read a certain amount of chapters a day or do you want to all go at our own pace and post our thoughts here?

I prefer my own pace but tell me what'd you all prefer

I'd say since the book is devided into 8 section we can read one everyday. or we can still go by our own pace but then we have to mark which page or chapter we stopped and talk spoilery. what do you guys prefer?

okay guys, just read the first set(nothing spoilery yet) , and i have to say it's somewhat interesting. the characters specially. still so soon for any judgment about the plot obviously, but all the characters and specially their talents piqued my attention. and i would like to see who this atlas guy?

the writing and a little of description in this book is a little hard for me to get into the book , but since we are reading this gradually, it will help with that for me. it really seems like a clever book in terms of plot and characters.

also, i find the diversity in the characters origin very wast and amazing, like f.e. Parisa, a Persian name(where i come from) though I'm not sure where exactly is her origin but I'm guessing something like that. so that was rally cool and amazing.

I’ve finished the first part too and it’s really good so far :) All the characters are a intriguing but I’m mostly interested in Reina and Parisa. They might become my favorites. I can’t wait to learn more about the magic system too.

this set was okay. I'm really interested in parisa's chapter. and also atlas himself. I'm alittle confused in nico's chapter and with the other two guys??? i guess. and i feel like nico and libby might be enemies to friends or more i guess. nothing special to share and can't wait to see what they will do in the academy with their powers.

I'm still in Reina's chapter in 1st part, but I'll catch up once I finish my current read by tomorrow. i do have some thoughts already and will tell ya ☺️

Happy to help tell you that I caught up and I'm now in Part 3. I'm leaning towards Parisa, Libby and Nico. All 3 of them have gripped my thoughts. I like the writing a lot and the characters are so interesting. Though, i feel that the magic system needs to be more elaborated and demonstrated. I need more answers about Parisa, Tristan and Callum's powers.

I just finished the second part, too and I agree with all of what you said. I really want to see more of Reina though. I just really like plant-centered powers. I never really focus on writing in books, but I do think it's really good.

The way Parisa is messing around to find her way is so smart 🤩 and scary

wow, I've got a feeling that (view spoiler)[this whole attack was some how a test for them. because it happened to suddenly. and I'm glad they decided to be team. (hide spoiler)]. this is very realistic that this characters definitely don't trust each other and i like that. i can say i am intrigued by each pov but callum and Tristan's less. their magic is also very fun but i need to see more like you said richa.

I think Tristian is my least favorite now that I've finished the third part. He's just not as interesting as the others to me, personality and magic wise. Reina's still probably one of my favorites.

Just finished part 3&4. While I get that they are Smart and have powers, I'm kinda annoyed by the lack of action in the plot. I really don't trust Parisa and Callum . I kinda sus on Ezra, Reina's good. Nico Libby interactions are so entertaining.

i also just read the 4th part,
firstly, a very interesting fact about reina that she can sort of boost the energy i guess?
2nd, what is there going on between nico and gideon stuff?? who was elife?? Gideon's mother for real??? I'm confused. did you you guys get thta??and things between nico and his boyfriend i daresay is weird :|
and why is everyone is talking about sexual tension all the time. like nico is always whining and parisa is also drawn to dalton-guy. are they together??
i wish we could see more action
these characters interactions is also cold and lackluster. still not sure about like tristan and callum's motive.

yes yes yes i agree about the callum tristan thing.
so listen, gideon is a unique creature who can pass through dreams and can have no physical structure but in order to have one form nico helps him with his powers. that's why he sticks close to him, so he can keep an eye on him. elife is gideon's mum, true. who wants her son back.
the sexual tension is soo unnecessary honestly, it is obstructing the true pace of the story.
parisa believes that she can extract more information about the society and the game from dalton so she's manipulating him. she's just hooking up with him, but i think dalton is being held against his will by atlas for some reason. as indicated by aiya.
i think the writing resembles a bit from The Secret History, even it had the same cold, distant writing and twisted characters. maybe the author is using #1 book as an introduction but I don't like that the plot had v less action. hopefully, it gets better.

and sooo true i also thinks the sexual part are unnecessary.
i feel like parisa's way to get information is unfair.
i really don't know about alexendarian and the secret history that it mentions a lot here so by that you mean the author is intentionally writing like that???
and another thing, did you guys catch how libby and nico's power works??? it's very inaccurate me.
and where is atlas? he just goes and comes😅

also, i think it was a talk about probably someone will get eliminated by the end, so i wonder who would that be. considering parisa is doing that and callum and tristan's hidden motive ???

So I've gotten to the point where I really only like Reina, Nico, and Libby. Tristan's still eh.

I liked Parisa at first because I thought she was interesting, but telepathy has been done in fantasy so many times before that her personality is now just starting to tick me off. Callum is interesting but I think he's being really stupid by underestimating Libby. He thinks he's on a higher ground when he should know better than to underestimate anybody. If he gets eliminated (which he probably won't) I'll just think that he deserves it. Atlas still gives me creepy vibes and there's totally something going on with Dalton.

@part 7 and i have no idea where this is going 😭 I'm shipping everyone with everyone here 😂 The 3x was a fade to black but i feel like Parisa did it to mess with T and L. Reina is the only character I'm vouching for. I'm probably gonna read more bc im so into it rn.

oooh you are at part 7 intent. i haven't read the 6th part so i have to catch up.

i finished, once u reach 7 u cannot stop bc the suspense and the plot picks up!!! am in love w the last 40. % of the book. it was so good. I'll tell ya once u reach there

I’m about halfway through the “time” part and I’m starting to get back into it. The last part was kind of boring, but I can feel it picking up. I’m really interested in the whole stopping time thing too.

wow i can't wait for that. I'll be definitely finishing this today.

okay, i finished as i day i will. i have to say, i'm mixed feeling. the book got better at the end(sort of) but i had a long and painful way to get used to the plot and figure out what is happening and also the characters. tbh i didn't really like each of them. i thought parisa and Libby were good but parisa was all seducing and being two faced. callum was very mysterious until the end. the others also confused me. i wanted more of atlas (since it's his name on the book for god's sake) but i guess that's it.
also the worldbiulding and the whole atmosphere and the writing was hard and lackluster. the magic is cool i have to admit but u can't really pinpoint each of these characters specially like i only know libby and nico's are physics and some sort callum is empath( i hated the way he treats others specially tristan) parisa and tristan some sort of mind ability i guess and reina naturalist. i really wanted more
also the twist at the end? about ezra and atlas being in last generation of this students. i guess ezra's twist was fine and also this book's lack id high stack bugged me. i thought that by the end they really will eliminate someone by killing and i was ready but nothing happened. and I'm not sure what to expect for next.
i have several question like the magic and atlas and ezra, as well as how old are they really bc the twist with ezra makes me think how is he and Libby's age gap and others as well?
and also dalton.

anyway, it probably feels like i didn't like this book which i have to say, i only just finished and i have to let it sink( it's 1 am here so i just have to deep it off) and tomorrow i will write my review for this and more of my thoughts on that. it's 3 stars for me now.

So good this book turned good for you and your first buddy read.. and yes definitely! we can read the next book when it comes out(not sure about the release date though!) and anything you have that i have in my tbr can work for me. we still wait on yo Al to finish and discuss.🙂

It's 25th October of this year as per what the author mentioned! Thank you, I have been liking OB's writing since Alone with you in ether and it's no surprise she won me over. Despite a few issues.
