I'm a cat-astrophe | 10 comments Hi everyone! I haven't had the time to read anything the past few years (apparently since 2018, didn't realize it had been that long XD) but I want to try at least getting through a few this coming year! But with being out of touch with new books coming out and such the past 3 years, idk where to start. So, I was hoping to get some recommendations here :)

If anyone would like to share their favorites from the past few years, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm open to most things, but some good genres for me are fantasy, sci-fi, mystery and romance.

Also bonus points for good bi and poly rep!

Orchid | 13 comments Hello! I am looking for a book with subtle queer hints for my 52 year old mom, I don’t want a book that is very centered around the queer or tge but with hints of it. I would love some recs!

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe
its adult, but i think it would be perfect for your mom. its a very lovely book (i wasnt expecting to like it but actually loved it) and focuses on two women in the south during the 30s living, working, and raising a family together. Not explicitly queer but considering they love each other and raise a family together, its easy to read it that way, while still allowing people to interpret it as friendship if they want
