since the year ends in about a week, what are some of your reading goals for 2022?

mine are:

- 75 books for the year (might up this at a later date)
- read some more "classic" books
- continue to read #ownvoices and more diverse literature
- maybe read some popular YA series that i never really read when i was younger
- try to start reading more arcs (if i can get approved for them!)

What a great topic!
I have quite a few goals for the year, and I won't write all of them here or I'll probably bore everyone here. Let's focus on the main ones:
- Finish "A Promised Land". I've been reading it since July, and it's really good, but I'd like to be able to move on to other big books;
- Progress in the complete works of William Shakespeare;
- Read some new releases. I've bought a lot of these recently (multiple lockdowns made me do it, really) but I haven't read a lot of 2020 or 2021 books until now, and I need to go through a bit of that huge pile (yes, these books have their own pile at home, apart from the other ones);
- Diversify the genres I read. In that regard, I'm quite happy with my 2021 reading log: it was really diverse and for once, I read a lot of contemporary novels. I'd like to go on like that in 2022 and keep reading a bit of everything. And like @Rachel I really should read more YA.

Mine are
- Read 35 books
- Finnish Twilight (haha I started them last summer but didn’t finish them then sooo)
- Try to only read books from my physical bookshelf that I haven’t read already

- Read 55 books
- Listen to at least three audiobooks
- Read five iBooks
- Don’t request arcs until I finished all of the ones that I own
- Read at least three historical fiction books
- Finish the twilight series
- Reread Harry Potter series

my goals are to read 300 books abd read more smut

My goals are to read 100 books and reduce my TBR down to 250 books (currently at 316 books).

My goal for this year is, to start reading more often in general again. Since I finished my apprenticeship in 2018 I didn't get much chance to do so ^^' Now I changed my job and have more time to sit down and read again.
I started to set a goal of 12 books this year, seems like a reasonable amount to start again ^^

my reading goals for this year would be:
- read 15 books (i realize it’s quite a low number, but i tend to get stressed out when i don’t meet my goals, so i figured i’d start low and work my way up!)
- try and finish every book i pick up, even if it’s boring
- stick to reading every night possible

i've kept it low: 20 books, as i spent 2021 in a reading slump LOL so i'm sorta starting out again

I've read 43/100 books so far this year but since we are almost halfway through the year I want to get better about reading even more :)

It’s a bit late in the year but

-Read 15+ Books
-Find a book that really clicks with me
-And to progress my literature knowledge as well as my writing to be the best I can be ^^!

I only set my goal as 24 books, which would be 2 books a month but so far I've knocked out more than 2 books a month but only started in June lol.

I want to shorten my Currently Reading cause I always pick up a book and never finish.
