Monthly Challenge Prompts

There will be three prompts each month that can be completed any time in 2022.

January:
1. Read a novel that has more than 150 pages.
2. Read a book by an author that is new to you.
3. Read, or reread, the first book in a series.

Remember, you can only use each book once.

February:
1. Read a book with a two-word title.
2. Read, watch or listen to a play.
3. Read a romance OR share a love poem (or a poem you love) with the group.

March:
1. Read a mystery.
2. Read a book that's 300+ pages long.
3. Read a book set in a place (big or small, real or fictional)starting with "M".

April:
1. April Fool's Day-read a book that makes you laugh or smile.
2. Read a book set in a place you would love to visit or re-visit.
3. Read a book that has a four word title.

May:
1. Read a book by a female author new to you.
2. Read a book with the name of a family member or a person's name in the title.
3. Read or reread a book or short story by one of your favourite female authors.

June:
1. Read a graphic novel or a comic collection.
2. Read a fantasy.
3. Read a book set on an island, at the seashore or beach, or on the water(ocean, lake, etc.

July:
1. Read or reread a children's or YA book
2. Read a book that has the name of a colour or flower in the title
3. Read a book that has a word that starts with "J" or "U" in the title or an author whose first or last name starts with either of those letters

August:
1. Read a book written in the first person
2. Read a book where one or more of the characters go on a journey OR read a travel book
3. Read a book with a title that starts with the words "A" or "An"

September:
1. Read any science fiction book
2. Read a book set in any school, college or university
3. Read a book set in a dystopian or post apocalyptic world/society

October:
1. Read a book, including children's lit and picture books, which features witches, ghosts or Halloween.
2. Read a book or short story that is classified as Horror by goodreads.
3. Read a book whose title starts with a word beginning with "O"
Ex. Of Mice and Men.

November:
1. Read a historical fiction novel set in any time period.
2. Read a non-fiction book about any topic that interests you.
3. Read a book with a red, orange, yellow or brown cover.

December:
1. Read or reread any short story or fairy tale.
2. Read a book or story set at Christmas or other holiday times.
3. Read a children's book, including picture books.

Oops! I forgot to mention that you can only use each book once in this challenge.
That book can be used in other group challenges.
But if you happen to read a book that fits more than one prompt, you can decide which one you want to use it for.

The place could be anywhere from Main Street to Mars.

If you like books set in London, England-it's located in Middlesex County. And so is the London in Ontario.

There are a lot of places that start with M, so I'm curious to see where we all go.
