Hi Jazzy - the Herman Wouk book looks interesting and great to see some Scandinavian stuff in there as well. I'm interested to read but at over 1000 pages I'm not quite ready yet !

Hi Jazzy - I'm here to tell you that I am a hopeless proof reader so didn't notice until of course I was going through the list :) The cover of Without my Cloak caught my eye too! The book I have at home has the old Virago green cover I suspect and isn't as pretty. Although I do like the green covers usually.

Alexandra, it will be good to have you checking things, sometimes I type too fast and don't notice my mistakes! And oh, i'm always falling into that trap of choosing a book by its cover!

I'd not heard of Xingu either until I started searching for books beginning with X 😂

Trollope is wonderful, I love his books so much. I've had Vanity Fair for probably 15 years or so on my TBR. Finally going to read it and very much looking forward to it. Hope we both enjoy it!

It looks as though this group has mainly people who are incredibly well-organised! I’m impressed to see so many complete lists ready to start reading. My approach was going to be reading a book & seeing where it fitted into my currently blank alphabet!

I’m looking forward to this challenge & hopefully discovering some new books & authors while getting to know people.

Trisha I find books to fit and then may or may not read them or might change them later, but it definitely makes it easier for deciding what to read next! I'm so happy you're here with us!

Trisha I am here to tell you that I have yet to finish a reading challenge in one of these groups. Do you know I actually think the most fun is finding the books and writing up the list ;)

I have to agree with Alexandra, sometimes I have managed to read the books, but not always, and it is a lot of fun creating the posts!

Although reading the books is pretty sexy too!

I am entering titles as I read them. All the books will be at least 50 years old and full length. I will be using the following grace rule:

For each letter A through Z, read a book where the Title begins with that letter. For the hard letters Q, X, Y and Z, you may use a book in which the letter is found anywhere in the title.
