Retirement

Nancy Markson has quite a history and seems to get away with her deeds each time. Why were so many reluctant to take her on?

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments Another good question. The interviews Max did with former classmates and co-workers gave me the impression that they we afraid of her. She has a very strong personality and isn't afraid to threaten people.

She was skilled at turning the tables and being vindictive. I’m sure they were scared of her but it’s no excuse for the last retirement home to give her a clean record. That was negligent. I understood the sorority sisters but not the company where they had evidence of her abuse. It took an orderly to bring her down!

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments The last retirement home that Nancy worked at was covering their butt by settling with her and sealing the agreement. There were accusations that people died while she worked there. She could have been charged with murder. The home would have been liable too for hiring her. Neither side wanted it coming out.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments She was a real piece of work and no one has definitive proof of what she did. Without proof, they couldn't nail her.
