Carly (carlystach) Hi! I'm looking for some new fantasy reads. Just to give an idea of what I've been liking I'm going to go through some books I loved and others I didn't enjoy as much.

I just finished "The Witch's Heart". It's a Norse mythology retelling of Ragnarok. It was great. Before that, I was on a bit of a greek mythology kick with "Circe" and "Song of Achilles". Madeline Miller's style is just so beautiful to me. I liked that the endings were sad, but did the characters justice. "Priory of the Orange Tree" was a monster of a book at 800-something pages, but it was one of my favorite books. I loved how the multiple perspectives wove together.

I read "Cruel Prince" which everyone in the YA world is freaking out about, but I wasn't impressed. It just didn't grab me. I know it's not because it's YA. I read "Six of Crows" and loved it. The whole magical heist and how the characters interacted was so fun. People also have been raving about ACOTAR. I read all of them, and while I enjoyed the series I'm not sure I can say they were well-written. "Ariadne" sucked. It was clearly just jumping on the greek mythology trend after the success of Madeline Miller's work.

Anyway, that's what I've been reading. I would love to hear any ideas.

edit- just read all the rules. Who is Lizzie and what did she do? haha.
