I have loved my Pulitzer challenge, Lori. For the most part the reads have all been excellent. A few didn't make the grade, but that isn't unusual to not love them all with that number of books. It has taken me longer than I thought it would, and I suspect I will still be working on it in 2023.
Your second list of challenges was interesting. I am doing a "100 Years Before Me" challenge. Started it in 2017 and still 21 books away from a finish.
You are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Poldark series. Every book is a masterpiece. I was so sad when I reached the end and I have been tempted more than once to start all over again. I really need a clone!
Anyway, happy reading for 2022 and beyond. You have some great plans.

I do already have several Pulitzers planned for this year: The Yearling, All the King's Men, The Town, The Old Man and the Sea for starters. I think it will be a great challenge and I'm sure some of the titles will take me out of my comfort zone. I'll cross those when I get there.
I love the name of your Birth year challenge. That's perfect! I guess I was thinking to start in 1972 and go to the present day which would get me quite a few years of classics in there. But 100 years before would be even more! Well, hmm.....
When you did yours, did you plan out the reads or place them as a year came along? I suppose it could go either way. I will probably research for the ones I really want to read and see how it progresses! Thanks so much for your input and encouragement! I feel like I bit off a lot here, but understand and plan for it to take a long time!
When you start Poldark, he will consume your life. lol.
I put a tentative read in for every year when I started the challenge, but I changed them out as I read something unexpected that fit the year. It has been a long trek, but quite fun, and I read some books I probably would have missed in those earlier years. My start was 1851, which gave me a lot of older books to draw from. If you started in 1872, that would still give you quite a deep reach into the past. I like your idea too, though, and maybe when I have finished this challenge I will take on my birthdate to the present. That would mean I had covered 170 years. :)

I'm hoping to read the series in 2022 also.

Pultizer challenge - added 2 with All the King's Men and The Town both 5 star reads. Total read for the challenge 19 - so a LONG way to go.
My Poldark series challenge - I completed the first 5 books with 7 more to go. These are such fun to revisit Cornwall and these characters.
Jane Austen challenge - only one this year with Persuasion which was a reread and I upped my rating from 4 to 5 stars!
Sadly I did not get to any Anthony Trollope's this year. I will do my best to change that next year.
The Pulitzer challenge goes on forever, Lori, but there are some marvelous reads in there! Poldark is terrific. Jane Austen and Trollope are going to make 2023 special!

I’m trying to organize a bit for next year but won’t worry if it doesn’t pan out. I definitely need to get to Doctor Thorne at least and another Austen. All in all looking forward to another great year of reading and hope many of them we can share!
