This challenge is a yearly challenge where individuals can design their own tbr reading list. Other people can join in for buddy reads or just peek in to see your progress. Let your imagination run wild! TBR lists can be about anything you like . . . genres, authors, surprise us!!

Kathy Kathy's Klassics for 2022:

This year I plan to read more classics. I have put together a monthly reading list. Feel free to join in if any of these books interest you or just check in to see my monthly reviews.

JAN
O Pioneers! by Willa Cather . Grownup version of Little House on the Prairie. Beautifully written. 3.75 stars. Read 1/13.

FEB
A Month in the Country by J.L. Carr. 2.75 stars. Read 2/1. I was interested in the uncovering of the hidden painting but was underwhelmed by the whole process of discovery and the supposed healing the protagonist was enduring. I just didn't feel it. Obviously, seeing other's ratings, I was in the minority.

MAR
The Chrysalids by John Wyndham. 5 stars. Read 3/23. Sci-fi Classic. Post Apocalyptic. Hundreds of years after an atomic(?) war, society has banned all physical mutations. Interesting philosophical discussions about religion and individual rights.

APR
The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain

MAY
Romola by George Eliot

JUN
Mansfield Park by Jane Austen

JUL
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins

AUG
The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie

SEP
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde

OCT
The Beetle by Richard Marsh

NOV
Watership Down by Richard Adams

DEC
The Mystery of Edwin Drood by Charles Dickens

Sue | 430 comments Sue's "You've Got to Read This" list

This is going to be a kind of fluid list - these are the books that I am enjoying but also defeat my efforts to work on the older books in my TBR mountain - lol. Criteria for this year's list: Published in 2019-2022; a book that I am reading for a group read, or because family or friends recommended it to me, or because I was given the book as a gift, or because I purchased the book as a deal.

The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams
The Perfect Predator: A Scientist's Race to Save Her Husband from a Deadly Superbug: A Memoir by Steffanie Strathdee
The Push by Ashley Audrain
The Promise by Damon Galgut
African American Athletes Who Made History by Louis Moore
The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams
How Lucky by Will Leitch
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
The Madness of Crowds by Louise Penny
Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan
Dispossession by Tayari Jones
Half Light by Tayari Jones
Everything My Mother Taught Me by Alice Hoffman
The Exiles by Christina Baker Kline
The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
The People We Keep by Allison Larkin
Island Queen by Vanessa Riley
The Magnolia Palace by Fiona Davis
The Rose Code by Kate Quinn
Resistance Women by Jennifer Chiaverini

Sue | 430 comments Ok if I have multiple lists here? Hopefully so.
Sue's "Worth Repeating" List

Books (classics, bestsellers, personal favorites) that I am re-reading for Group Reads, or because they help to complete a challenge, or Just Because. As in my other list above, this is just a start, will be developing this more in upcoming months.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle
Silver on the Tree by Susan Cooper
An American Marriage by Tayari Jones
The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi
The Birchbark House by Louise Erdrich
