So starting the year off with Goodnight Nobody for Connecticut and Sourdough for California. Maybe one more in January fingers crossed.

Checking Michigan off the list with The Secret of Snow a quick, fiction novel about a woman confronting her demons and changing her life.

Adding Minnesota with The Current by Tim Johnston

Checking off Massachusetts with We Ride Upon Sticks by Quan Barry. The Danvers, MA setting was primary to the set up for this story, as the members of the high school field hockey use their town's witch trials history to help them have a winning season.

Adding North Carolina with The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews. Great little story that reads like a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Touring on through Idaho with My Heart Is a Chainsaw by Stephen Graham Jones. I don't love the gore but I love the way this author combines great writing with classic horror.

Turning south on my roadtrip with The Book Woman's Daughter taking me to Kentucky and The Homewreckers taking me to Savannah, Georgia.

Checking off Texas with The Lifeguards byAmanda Eyre Ward. A suburban mystery/thriller that take place in the Austin greenbelt.

Followed Jack Reacher on in to Montana as he rescued a damsel in distress from her kidnappers in Die Trying by Lee Child.

Short stops in Colorado, Missouri, Iowa, and Washington DC with Breaking and Entering: The Extraordinary Story of a Hacker Called "Alien"; Fly Girl: A Memoir; Shoeless Joe; and Upgrade respectively.

The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie takes me to Seattle Washington.

Picking up New Hampshire with Mad Honey and swinging over to New Jersey with Lights Out in Lincolnwood.

Stopping off in Vermont with The Golden Spoon. The British Baking show as a murder mystery. Fun!

Enjoying a quick spring break in Florida with The Orchid Thief.

Checking off visits to Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania.

Yes! That was a book I planned to read before I realized that it qualified for my challenge!

I'm going to count The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road for Louisianna since the author spends a little time there on her road trip.

Yes, I'm grasping at straws here.

Also adding James for Mississippi. I think this might be stretching it (did James and Huck really get as far as Mississippi?) but Goodreads shows it as Mississippi so I'm going to count it.
