Rating: clean but a tiny bit risqué. If feels like Elizabeth has fallen down the rabbit hole. She is never sure what exactly is going on. This Darcy is… well… presumptuous. LOL! The staccato writing style, written in dialogue format, comes across as hilarious funny or stupid, depending on your mood. Each chapter is very short and features an event from canon with a twist.

I’m not crazy about modern stories so this was just OK.

Thanks, Sheila. I have no idea what my reading will be this next year. I have never read this many stories, novellas, one-shots, etc. before. I guess we'll just see. I look forward to all the new launches coming out. I know you are too. See you in the comments in 2022. 😄 I just love saying that.
I am waiting to see what GRs posts as my average pages per book. I read very few one-shots, just a few novellas and so expect a higher page count on the average per book...but we'll see. I am reading the one you posted as a "Must Read" as my last this year...Caprice and Instability.
I bet you'll have a high page count. As for Caprice and Instability: there is an assault attempt but it was unsuccessful and that action pushes the story. I know you don't like those so I was quick to say unsuccessful. However, when our Colonel arrives at Longbourn in full military gear and with reinforcements with him... he takes on the whole family. With full military force behind him, he tackles Mr. and Mrs. Bennet... then the silly girls. I may have to read that section again myself. I loved him in this story. I hope you like it.
I am about 3/5 of the way done. The colonel is about to take Lydia to the brig....
