My results:

You're the "Stay up all night" reader!

You love nothing more than getting sucked into a new story, even if it means you’re reading under the covers with your phone flashlight and falling asleep in bio the next day. Your perfect next read: Sadie by Courtney Summers is a thriller you won’t be able to peel yourself away from.

My thoughts: This is actually accurate. I'm tired now. I read past 12am last night, and had to be to work by 7:15... *cries*

Martha (marthas48) | 767 comments My results -

You're the "Take notes in the margins" reader!

Reading isn’t one-sided to you, it’s a conversation. You always carry a pen, and you come away from any book inspired and filled with new ideas. You’re probably in a book club or two to share the incredible thoughts that are scrawled in the corners of all your favorite books. Your perfect next read: An anthology is a great way to get lots of new perspective and ideas, all in just one book. We think you’ll love Black Enough!

Not really accurate. I'm more like a 'stay up all night' reader. Many nights I read in bed until 3am. Crazy because I'm retired & can read as much as I want during the day. LOL

Martha, ditto, ditto and ditto. I got the same results and feel the same way about them, except for the retired part. So I only get to read late on weekends. :)

message 7: by Tone (last edited Jan 04, 2022 01:52PM) (new)

Tone | 34 comments My results was "take notes in the margins" reader, which is something I never do, or not since school anyway. So this quiz was off the mark as far as I'm concerned. Like Martha and Alondra I'm more of a "stay up all night" reader.

I got the "take notes in the margins" but I think the "stay up all night" is more accurate for me

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 800 comments I think this is fairly accurate, given I got the kindle app on my phone so I didn't end up anywhere without something to read!

You're a speed reader!

You have a book in your bag, a book on your phone, and a backup plan in case you finish them both before you get home. You love to read and love to finish books, we bet you keep track of your reads and goals on with Goodreads. Your perfect next read: Starting a completed series is a sure way to keep you busy for a few days. The Charlotte Holmes series by Brittany Cavallaro will give you four new books to blast through.

message 10: by Carolien (new)

Carolien (carolien_s) | 505 comments Another "Take notes in the margins" reader! Probably not that far off for me although I don't make notes, but just add to the TBR.

message 11: by Emily (new)

Emily (readerlover1995) | 195 comments Just did my quiz and came up with “Take notes in the margins” reader.

Honestly, I’m not sure. One the one side, I do always carry a pen and paper in case I get an idea for something I plan to add to my writing and I do get inspired by books I read. But on the other hand, I don’t know. I could read all day if life would let me, but other things take present, so I have to make the time.

Fun though, even if it might be off the mark! Thanks Alondra for finding this! 🐾

message 12: by Alondra, Moderator Schmoderator (new)

Alondra Miller | 4190 comments Mod
I agree with all of these comments!

The questions asked were really weird, and most had nothing to do with reading.

I don't think 8 questions about drinks and favorite color will get the desired result. I mean, who actually writes in the margins??? LOL

Laurel Bradshaw (llawryf) | 617 comments I'm the "Stay up all night" reader! Accurate.

I don't write in the margins, but I do sometimes take notes on a book I am reading to keep track of characters and multiple plot threads...

I probably would fit any answer given....

I wish I could stay awake at night long enough to finish a book. I'm pretty much early to bed early to rise. They did get one thing right though I enjoyed Sadie by Courtney Summers.

And:

The Second Mrs. de Winter from Rebecca
Initially, you come off as shy, timid, and like you don't belong. However, like a rock, you thrive under pressure and — no matter what life throws at you — you turn it into a diamond.

not very accurate as I don't really do it. but I do stop sometimes to think a bit about a particular passage (and usually get lost in my thoughts lol).

You're a total "book-to-movie" strategist
When people ask, “book or movie?” you meet them with a blank stare. Why pick one when you could have both! You keep a calendar of midnight premiers and you probably have the IMDB app on your phone. Your perfect next read: the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, hitting theaters this summer.

Also I just recently finished my reading challenge and I’m pretty happy about that! Can’t wait to do another one next year!

〰️Beth〰️ (x1f4a0bethx1f4a0) | 470 comments First Quiz: I am “Take notes in the margins “…. 😮 No treason to write in a book unless it’s digital. Everyone knows you have a small notebook because the book faeries will curse you if you write in the actual margins, ok maybe text books are the exception.

Second Quiz: Elizabeth Bennett. I think I am ok with that but wondering what my other options were…

I am also an escapist! We are On The Same Page so I would guess a large portion of group members will be escapists. Most of us admit to being bookaholics so I am curious to see other peoples results.

Jackie | 1103 comments I am:

The Explorer

The Explorer knows that a reader lives a thousand lives. This type enjoys experiencing a world of possibilities and firmly agrees that reading builds empathy. Explorers are thoughtful about what they read next. They are likely to get their book recommendations from their fellow readers and sometimes fellow travelers, the issues of the day, and their own research.

Maybe you're a bona fide English major; maybe you're one at heart. Either way, you believe in books that have stood the test of time. You love to see what's on current school reading lists. You enjoy old classics and modern classics, as well as books about the reading life.

Tone | 34 comments And I got The Insider:

"If you're an insider, your reading list is full of contemporary literary fiction—you pay attention to what's coming out of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and which hot new authors are on NPR these days. Your friends see you as the one who's “in the know” about what's happening in publishing. You pay attention to what the critics say, but you read to please yourself."

I must admit that this sounds like me, althougt as a non-American I don't get the references to the Iowa Writer's Workshop and NPR. Could anyone explain, please?
