I have run out of Space for this Combined Challenge. I have Cut/Pasted any Post related to the State Challenge which began February 2012.

Malice in Maggody, Meh 2/5 I LIKED learning and reading about RURAL backwater Maggody Arkansas... but the characters were SO out there and acted SO dumb and hick, and the reading a bit plodding. Ant least I can scratch Arkansas off my list! Though I want to read a more positive look at life in Arkansas.

Next Las Vegas Nevada wish me luck lol

Dead Sand: A Lewis Cole Mystery Hardcover

by Brendan Dubois And book 2 in the series Black Tide. Now I think I want to try all 50 states.

I am down to my 2 states. That is not including states I am repeating on purpose do memory loss or dislike of the previous read. The following are the USA territories and such I WANT to read books for the challenge:

Guam, Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Solomon Islands, American Virgin Islands(St. Crux, St. Thomas)

These are impossible to find due to them being uninhabited, military etc.
Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll , Midway Islands Navassa Island Palmyra Atoll, Wake Island/Baker Island,

I have been on Johnston Atoll. It was for 24 hours in the early 1980s. It was just military and contractors there. I thought it was a very strange place. It reminded me of the movie Outland, partly because of the rent-a-cop security. One of our party ended up in a cell for the night. Because of its isolation, it would actually be a good setting for a mystery if you could find someone who was really familiar with it. Wikipedia says it was closed in 2004.

I just finished an excellent suspense novel based in West Virginia. Zero Day was my first David Baldacci book. 5/5 stars.

There were several Delaware Mysteries I wanted to read. (There were others that I had no interest in). Unfortunately, I am relying on my library system to find books. I simply do not have the room for more books, gasp! SO, Hooked Up by Joyce and Jim Lavene was the one and only Delaware mystery available. It is solely based on the racetrack in Dover, Delaware.
Athough I figured some of the mystery halfway, the wife/husband team were delightful. I just got impatient 3/4 through. As it is my last State for the challenge, I am calling "uncle".
I am still working on the USA territories and such.

It actually took about two years, but I am done with the US Challenge. Included are: DC, American Solomon Islands, Puerto Rico. Currently reading American Virgin Island book. No book available for Northern Mariana Islands,though there is one in my TBR. Still nada on Guam.

Do you mean American Samoa? I don't think the Solomon Islands have ever been US territory although there was fighting in them during World War II.
