Happy 2022, thought I'd post an update about our wonderful group.


• We currently have 251 members (I'm so glad you're here)
• Our group was started May 2018
• We have read 45 books from the Great American Read List (plus an extra 24 books that were part of a series)
• We have 55 books to go

If you check out the group bookshelf you can see the remaining books have been added and marked as "to-read", looks like we're going to be busy until April 2024.

I am a little more than half way through The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. I am debating whether to tackle Dune or Gone with the Wind

I would love to hear what you think of "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" I haven't read "Dune" yet, but I really enjoyed "Gone With The Wind".

I wrote a small review on The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, but overall I thought it was a very challenging and intense read. I definitely didn't love it, it was full violence and sexual activity that was a bit over the top for me and I had to translate so much Spanish that it was hard to stick with the flow of the story. But I am glad I read it.
