Credits to AMMP - I saw the theme-based challenges there first.


I think all of you might have gotten the poll I sent out earlier regarding a new theme-based challenge concept. Incase you didn't, here's the link : https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

We were thinking of doing MasterChef this time.

So, basically, the real Masterchef competition goes like this - People sign up, individually. 25 best cooks are selected and they cook for a few weeks. They have a Mystery Box (They don't know the ingredients and have to come up with a dish that showcases the ingredients in that short span of time), a Creative Round (They get points for how creative their dish is), Team Challenges (They cook together for 50,100,150 or even 250 people), Elimination (1 person goes home after) and an Immunity Pin ( They win this after the win the Mystery Box and if they are ever in an Elimination, they can use this to get out of it once).

Our MASTERCHEF challenge, however, would be teams. We would split people who have signed up into a few broad teams, and come up with small monthly,bi-monthly, quarterly or even half-yearly challenges that they would partake in - kinda like how the cooks plan and work together to cook the dishes for so many diners. There would be an elimination round or something for the last 2 teams where they can either earn extra points, or will have to leave the challenge once they lose (I haven't made up my mind). We'll have a mystery box challenge - We'll give you the prompts the day before the mystery box challenge is supposed to start. Creative Challenge - We'll give you a few prompts and the more creative it is, the more points you get. And, if we get more people signing up, and an even number of teams, we can have a team-team challenge. Suppose there are 4 teams, A,B,C and D. Teams A and B would be Team 1 and Teams C and D would be Team 2. You'd still be your teams, A,B,C and D at the end of the day, but for the team team challenge alone, you'd be teaming up with another team.


This is quite a big leap from what we've done before. I figured, new year, new challenges(Hehe). I need at least 12 people ( 3 people a team, 4 teams or 4 people a team, 3 teams) to sign up. It'd be better if we get at least 15 -20 people.

We will put a halt to these types of challenges if we don't get enough participation. So, if you want to participate, call your friends too!!
