Books2Movies Club discussion

This is the main thread for those wanting to tackle The Hobbit before The Lord of the Rings which is perfectly fine choice too! I'll read it after the LotR trilogy.

The firsts two posts for the book and the movies are already open, as we've already done it almost ten years ago:

I decided to change the reading/watching order here - it seemed more appropriate to read the history of the book before watching the movies and the art of making them. Hence one month we should spend with the books and the second month with the movies.

This thread is just information only; you do not have to post anything here. Simply follow through the links provided above.

P.S. Don't be surprised to see that discussion posts for the book and movies are quite old ones. The discussions were quite good and I felt it would be nice to read them to spark new posts, especially if we've already participated in them. Has our opinion about the book and the movies changed in the years that passed by? For newbies it might be refreshing to have a starting point.

P.S.S. I'll be a tad late for this segment, as I am still plowing through all the books from the segment four.
