In 'The Exceptionals', Kumar Mehta makes a humble attempt to analyze and break down into accessible language the code of these exceptionals.

Mehta begins the book with his determined belief that every human being has a field either explored or unexplored that he has the potential to excel in. He introduces the concept of sustained excellence which comes along with innate ability, intense consistent effort and enabling factors. The author or rather I'd say the mentor expertly directs the readers attention to almost all the essential elements that are quintessential for success in life.

The Exceptionals is a non-fiction that leaves a mark not only because of the straightforward approach it takes dealing with facts and popular examples/ anecdotes we can look up to but also with quotes that deeply motivates you.

Here goes my favourite :

We often talk about achieving our personal best. That is a backward looking statement because it means that we are trying to do somecthing better than we previously have. Being excptional transcends the notion of personal best and brings us to achieving our possible best, a focus on maximizing what you can achieve rather than doing something a little better than you did the last time.
