Taking an actress like Kathryn Winnick and placing her inside of an exo-suit where she docks her famous hunter class gunship on a new world. Think Avatar type world introduction but more hostile. Slowly she makes her way through alien technology to try and locate the space pirate base. Similar to 1980s aliens where they locate the queen.
I'd use similar techniques as were used in Ironman for Robert Downey Jr. I'd base my environment design from the SNES version of Super Metriod. Instead of finding alien tech that fuses with her suit, I think she could take DNA samples from the fauna there and use it to create her morphball, super jump/super speed abilities.
Anyway in my mind it would be super cool.

Does anyone remember the cartoon C.O.P.S. ?
Let's see...
Kings of the Wyld would be really cool as an ensemble film with maybe Christopher Walken, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr., Christoph Waltz and Matthew McConaughey.
I think Signal to Noise by Silvia Moreno-Garcia would work really well as one of those short series with longer but few episodes, targeted at a mostly YA audience. I imagine it in a style similar to "Diableros" on Netflix (which is a great show).
Potiki is good stuff for a dramatisation, maybe intertwined with real-world documentary pieces or accompanied by one.
Soulless and the other books in the series would jump right on the Bridgerton-Hypetrain, but target an urban fantasy audience.
The Devil in Silver is also perfect for a short series, with its loveable cast, surreality and societal commentary.
Oh, I get only one? Well...

The Dragon Riders of Pern has been bandied about as a movie for at least a decade now. You see it mentioned occasionally in lists that talk about upcoming sci-fi projects. Of course, you also see that the new Ice and Fire novel will come out soon...so

Lets pretend Netflix hosts a contest which you happen to win. If you could... which book, cartoon or video game would you bring to life? In what archive of your mind does the coolest idea for a movie live?
