Horoscope (from on-line or a newspaper or wherever)
Pick a date that has special meaning for you (your birthday, anniversary, birthday of a child, parent or pet, etc.)
Read your 2022 horoscope for that date.
Then read a book that relates to that horoscope.
Example: Horoscope says – While you may feel the urge to put on a pair of boxing gloves and duke it out with your family, try putting on an oven mitt instead. Cooking a meal or performing other domestic chores will help take your mind off your troubles with your family.
For this horoscope, you could read a book about a boxer or a chef or a baker or a maid or a butler or a cleaner, etc. Something in the book must somehow relate to the horoscope.

Rules: For this challenge – Each book can only be used once (If it fits more than 1 category – choose one – as it can only be used in 1 of the categories)
The bonus rounds are just an added challenge to kick it up a notch!
The challenge runs from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
You don’t have to choose your books in advance. If you do, you can change your list at any time during the year.
Books can be in any format – paper, ebooks, audio…
Crossovers with other challenges are fine.
Most of all—have fun!

Jennifer Oberth | 3 comments Yay! I've been waiting for this challenge to pop up!!!!

I'm going to go for either Columnist: 10 books (2 from each category) or News Anchor: 15 books (3 from each category)

5/5 WHO

Protagonist is in the book business (bookshop owner, librarian, writer, etc) Witch and Famous by Angela Sanders. Librarian

Protagonist works with an animal (K9 cop, Vet, etc.) Buzz Off I'm going to say this counts because the K-9 is the beekeeper's high school crush's dog and she ends up with him as protection. He then protects her. You could say without him, there may not have been future books in the series, so I say they definitely worked together!

Protagonist OR a Main Character is paranormal (witch, vampire, ghost, etc) Some Enchanted Éclair

Protagonist is starting a new business or job Brownies and Broomsticks

Protagonist is a senior citizen or a juvenile (under 18) The Westing Game

4/5 WHAT

A color in the title Caramel Crush

A number in the title Seven-Year Witch

Title is at least six words

Title is exactly two words Vanilla Beaned

Title is a pun (ex: Hooked on Ewe) Put Out to Pasture

4/5 WHERE

Set in Europe (NOT England) Secret Letters from 0 to 10

Set in a country village or small town And Then There Were Crumbs
(Coral Cay, Florida and it sounds adorable!)

Set in a state starting with a vowel Dark Chocolate Demise

Set in a state or country you have lived in Mind-altering Murder

Set on foreign soil (NOT America or England) - This does NOT count, but the donut book I'm reading now started in Paris, France!

3/5 WHEN

Set in the 1800s or earlier

Set in the 1900s

Set during a celebration Spirits and Sourdough

Set during summer Witches and Wedding Cake

Set during a storm Bad Bites

5/5 WHY (Motives)

Money/Greed Magic and Macaroons

Jealousy Bewitched, Bothered, and Biscotti

Revenge Cobblered to Death

“Love” Spells and Scones

To keep a secret/cover up Charms and Chocolate Chips

4/5 BONUS CATEGORY – PULITZER PRIZE

WHO – The protagonist is a widow/widower

WHAT – The title starts with your first or last name’s first initial Old Fashioned Crooks

WHERE – Set in a place (city, village, state, country, etc) starting with your first or last initial Bait and Witch

WHEN – Set in the decade you (or a close family member) was born Cookies and Clairvoyance

WHY – Accidental death Farm to Trouble

1/1 EXTRA BONUS CATEGORY – NOBEL PRIZE FOR LITERATURE
Horoscope
"Help solve a friend's problem, jogging, feels overwhelmed, gives the benefit of the doubt, set goals for the rest of the years, takes care of pets."
I chose Mind Your Own Beeswax to fit the "takes care of pets" because she takes care of a police dog while the cop goes to training he can't take the dog to. Plus, she's afraid of dogs - so this is awesome for fitting this particular criteria! Anyone can take care of a pet - but to be afraid of dogs and take care of one? Cool!

√EXTRA BONUS CATEGORY - NOBEL PRIZE FOR LITERATURE:

For my sister in law's birthday, July 4, here is the horoscope:
The moon in Virgo connects with the sun in Cancer at 9:03 AM, inspiring an easygoing and productive atmosphere that’s especially good for getting organized, self-care, and helping others! The moon squares off with sweet Venus in Gemini at 11:38 AM, which can inspire a playful and flirtatious atmosphere, but we might feel a bit lazy or indulgent, too. The moon makes a helpful connection with Uranus in Taurus at 7:23 PM, perhaps inspiring a creative breakthrough.

√“For this prompt I read Scenes from My Life: A Memoir about a creative person who spent his last years helping others.
