((That would be so fun! Should she remember him? Like, do they still all have their memorie..."

((Actually, it would be super interesting if they did! The way I've done it in the past is that they have super foggy memories of the castle and the people. But we could totally have them remember each other and it would be awesome!!))

Halen ((Can I start with my characters? Or is something happening right now?))

message 7: by Halen (new)

Halen ((I’m going to take the lack of response as an allowance to start now.))

Camrin woke up with a throbbing headache. She grabbed her head and groaned softly. As she went to sit up, she noticed whatever was underneath her was hard and cold. She tried to look around but it was dark so she felt the ground. It felt like a stone floor. Which was weird, because she could have sworn she had fallen asleep on her tiny apartment couch.

message 8: by Halen (new)

Halen ((No. You’re fine.))
Camrin’s eyes were finally adjusting to the light so she did her best to see what was around her. What she hadn’t anticipated where to people rounding the corner. As quietly as she could, she started scooting towards the closest wall, hoping they wouldn’t see her. But she knew her plan had failed as soon as someone came running towards her. Cami held her breath as the person drew nearer. All she could do now was hope that they were nice, as she had no way of defending her self.

Halen Camrin didn't speak. She just nodded yes at the first question, then shook her head no at the second. She knew that the girls outstretched hand was supposed to be a sign of friendliness. But that didn't deter her from grabbing the closest item that was small enough to hide in her hand, that could also be used as a weapon. She didn't want to hurt anyone, but she wasn't afraid to in self defense.

message 10: by Halen (new)

Halen (Do you want me to bring in Lucas now, that way we will both be playing two characters and it will be more even?)
“Lytium?” She reappeared with her brows furrowed, “What is that?” Her voice was quietly but a little hoarse. She cleared her throat before sliding back a few inches and pulling herself of the ground, not dropping the item in her hand. Ryenna seemed a lot more trusting than Ian, but she wasn’t sure that she trusted either of them right now. She had woken up in some place she wasn’t familiar with, and they were the only people around. Either they were all stuck there together against their will, or they had been in charge of how she had gotten here. And she couldn’t yet tell which was true.

message 11: by Halen (new)

Halen “My name is Camrin. I don’t think I fell through the ground. I was sleeping, and I just woke up here. And I’m from Nebraska, which I don't know where that is in relation from here, because I have absolutely no clue where we are.” She eyed one person to the next. “Where are you from?” She asked back to the two. She figured if they wanted to know about her, she should get to know about them.
(I will add Lucas in a moment)

message 12: by Halen (new)

Halen “A state.” She corrected the man. “Which I guess is fine, because I have no clue where you guys are from either.” She shrugged. “I guess we are all on the same page of confusion.” Her voice was less hoarse now that she had spoken more than six words. And it softened out to her normal speaking voice, though it was still deeper than most women.

message 13: by Halen (last edited Feb 22, 2022 07:52AM) (new)

Halen “God. I’d rather die than commit homicide.” She laughed at her own bad joke. But when she didn’t see the others laughing she stopped. “How long have you guys been here?” She tried to make out some details of this building they were not stuck in. She even had the audacity enough to run her hand along the wall. Of course she was being gentle however. She had seen just enough movies to know not to use pressure in case any other this was a trap.

Halen (Im going to skip Camrin this round to put in Lucas, I hope you don't mind.)
Lucas had not been in this strange place for long, but the entire time he was there he didn’t stop running. H figured sooner or later there would have to be an exit, or even a window that we would come across. I guess I must be underground. He was just about to turn a corner when he heard what sounded like two or three separate voices. He stop abruptly, not wanting to round the corner and run into someone who might be trying to harm him. Trying to see what they looked like, he leaned up against the cold stone wall. He was perfectly silent… that was until he knocked a goblet off of a table he was leaning over top of. He was hoping that they hadn’t heard him, but he knew there was no chance.

message 15: by Halen (new)

Halen Camrin was already facing the direction the sound had come from. But with no weapon in hand she just tried to stand up straighter and make herself look taller. Though she was only 5’6, it was generally better if you seemed taller than your opponent. She held the object in her hand firmer, deciding if worse came to worse she would have to use it to protect herself. She was standing next to Ian, only a few inches behind where he stood. She figured he should be in front, as he was equipped with an actual weapon.

Lucas murmured a curse (swear) under his breath. He just barely peeked his head out from around the corner, just well enough to be able to see the faint outlines of the three people that awaited him. He instantly recognized the shape and glint of a sword in the hand of whoever was in front of the other two. “Put down the weapon first.” He tried to make his voice as deep as possible, but being only barely 16, it wasn’t really working as well as he had hoped. He had picked up the golden goblet that had fallen, in case the others tried to attack him, that was the only thing he was going to have to defend himself.
((Also, I will probably keep mine in two separate paragraphs like this for the rest of the time, because that is what I am used to))

message 16: by Halen (new)

Halen Camrin looked quickly over to Ryenna. This was a lot more trusting than Camrin ever hoped to be. She did think the boy sounded quite young, though she also knew voices could be deceiving. When she hears Ryenna mentioned age, she wondered how old the two next to her were. We’re they older than her? She was already nineteen. I’ll ask when we aren’t in potential danger, she thought, still peeping her eye on the spot the boy would come from.

Lucas had heard what the girl had said, but he was taught by his father not to trust just based on a kind voice. Plus, if he went to them and they wanted to attack there was no way he could take them all on his own. He was only about 5’5, and weighted next to nothing, which are definitely not traits he got from his father. “No. First he needs to put the sword down.” He would honestly be okay if the man just lowered it for the time being.

message 17: by Halen (new)

Halen Lucas stepped out from behind the wall he was using as a shield from the others. The goblet was in his right hand that was just barely behind his back. And the left was just hanging down by his side. “Lucas.” He wasn't one to use many words, especially with strangers watching him. And he definitely did not reach to the outstretched hand in front of him.
Camrin had rolled her eyes at the other female. And held the object down lower at her side, but she kept her shoulders tall. She was shocked when she saw the boys in the full. He was smaller than she was anticipating, but he held himself strong.

message 18: by Halen (new)

Halen Camrin glared at the girl again. She hated when people shared her information without her consent. Especially about privat emitters, like where she was from.
“Im from Kansas. And, believe it or not, I fell through a wall. I was being chased by something. And when I was cornered I somehow fell through the wall, and I couldn’t get back.” Lucas shrugged, not sure that they would even believe him.

Alison | 18 comments Vaharia's breath came in large pants as she bounded through the forest, flying through unnaturally gracefully and almost without sound. She could spy her prey ahead of her, the large deer racing through the trees. But she was closing the gap quickly.
Raising her bow, she perched on a tree branch and drew back an arrow, sighting the fleeing animal. Breathing in a small breath, she released, but she never saw if it hit her mark or not.
For at that moment, the world spun around her and she had the weirdest sensation of falling. She shut her eyes tight to regain her sense of balance even as the branch fell away from beneath her body.
Vaharia's feet collided with stone and she opened her eyes, immediately crouching into a defensive position, her bow raised. She was no longer in the forest. Instead she found herself in a large, stone corridor with torches lighting the bleak walls every few feet.
She frowned in confusion, slowly easing upright and lowering her bow when it became apparent there was no one about to attack her. Where by the Arlandi was she? And how did she get there?
Well. Only one way to find out. Turning, Vaharia started down the corridor.

Halen “How should we split up?” Camrin asked looking at the three people in front of her. She didn’t care who she went with, but she figured the silent dude, who was now known as Ian, would like going anywhere without the other girl in his sights. She eyed Lucas over and decided he didn’t really look like he would try to turn on her, so she didn't really care where she went.
Lucas looked around and saw there were only two ways he could go form here to try and find an exit. He was hoping whoever he went with happened to chose the easiest path. Not that he wanted the others to have a hard time, but he was definitely not fit for this type of activity. He had only been in a haunted building once, and he had a panic attack and had to go back to the car.

Vaharia continued through the monotonous halls of stone, still on alert for any other presence.
She had decided she must be in some kind of abandoned castle, given the cold, cracked stone and the worn red carpets in some places. But, strangely, the torches were lit, giving her light enough to see.
She was pondering this when she turned a corner and found herself facing a large arched doorway leading outside into a courtyard. It was large and overgrown with moss and trees and vines that crawled up ornate fountains and statues. She could spot another stone wall across from her with a door that led back inside. If she was to find a way out, this certainly seemed like a good bet.
