I searched inside for a quote and it looks like the Painted Pig is a tavern...not an actual animal. I'm sorry, but if that's the case then it can't count. :(

Mrs. Sunderland is a secondary character. The 2 main characters are: 1. Sterling (the narrator, it's written in first person; just a coincidence that his name also starts with S); 2. Rascal (of course, the racoon)

Melanie, I had not yet finished “All in the Timing” by: Melody Carlson when I posted it, (the posting you’d asked me about, which I just now saw). That was when I posted it to announce which book I’d chosen for Round 3, (Isn't this thread where we’re supposed to do that?), but: Yes, I have finished it now. 👌

Melanie, can you please double-check the comment I posted 13 days ago? It’s the comment which had a total of 4 people with at least part of their names starting with S. Well, Slammy Stillman & Garth Shadwick are males, so I know that they don't count, but Miss Stafford is a female, so she should count as a 2nd point, right? (Besides the 1st qualifying female, Mrs. Sunderland, of course.)

Well, I’m asking you to double-check that post of mine because when you posted the comment listing the total of each of our point for Round 2, you gave me credit for just 1 point, so I’m just checking.... Thank you! 🤗

Great to hear you've finished that book. I'll update when I get on the computer later. Regarding secondary female character, it can only be one character from the book, so even though there were multiple secondary female characters with S, we can only count one character. I hope I've explained that well enough.

Yes, Melanie, you have finally explained that only 1 secondary female character can count towards points for Round 2, but I honestly did not see anything specifying that when the round began, so since the other character happened to come up near the end of the book, ai’d figured that it doesn't hurt to ask. 🤣

Melanie, I still can’t find the official posting for Round 4 (including specific rules, like with Round 3 in the thread “Called Letters &...,” just the basic info (Letter W, Theme: Author); so I don't know if it’s possible for each of us players to earn more than 1 point in this round, but late last night my mom said I could check her bookcase, & I found: “Be Joyful” (A New Testament study: Philippians”) by: Warren W. Wiersbe 😀 📚 Would this count as 3 points? 🤷🏽‍♀️
