What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Series was about some sourt of immortal beings but i don't think it was vampires (shadow walkers?, ghost something?) This book was maybe 3rd or 4th in the series. The heroine was considered quite young for the species. She was the sister of a protagonist from a previous book in the series. Turned out one much older guy (70% certainl his name is Gideon) is her soul mate (not actual term used). Guy is a big deal in the species power structure-enforcer/protector...
I don't remember if there were serious erotic elements in the books, but it's likely since that's what I was reading at the time.
Mostly i remember the romance bring around the lines how is he going to love and cherish and respect her when he has lived so much more, has such greater experience, etc. The love was shared from both sides and there was some sourt of spiritual bond between them.
Read probably between 2011 and 2014

Definitely sounds like Dark Magic by Christine Feehan. Heroine is Savannah "lifemate" to Gregori who is the healer and one of the strongest Carpathian males and best friend to her father. He helped her as a fetus to not die in her mother's womb a few books before this in the series.

There's a character named Gideon in the Lords of the Underworld series, not really vampires but they're possessed by demons-Gideon's demon is Lies, his SO is named Scarlet. I'm thinking it's not what you're looking for because the storyline is very busy and different than what you're describing but I'm throwing it out there anyway.

Ruby Red

This is the first book of a three-part German ya fantasy series (2009) about immortal time travellers.
The main character is the COUSIN of the original protagonist who was going to become the family’s next time traveller because of an inherited gene, but in the end the main character inherited it instead. And the love interest is called GIDEON, who’s a member of the inner circle of time travellers and holds the important position of their “diamond”. I don’t think they had powers other than time travelling though.
