Amber J (Thereadingwitch) (ismachar) Oh interestingly enough, I'm in the middle of the second book now. I've enjoyed the series so far.

Hailey (haileyythereader) i loved this series so much but i think six of crows was better lol

Maddy I just read the first one - #2 and #3 are on the to read shelf.

Sadly I saw the Netflix show first - and its very much the same (with a few small alterations).

I enjoyed the book much more though because the show tends to jump between storylines and that's much more confusing. The book followed one simple storyline :)

Hailey (haileyythereader) i’ve been thinking about this recently. spoilers for the books and TV show if you haven’t seen them. lots of fans were disappointed they didn’t do the six of crows storyline for season one but they’re planning on doing it for season 2 and i think it was a genius idea. so imo shadow and bone and is the best in the trilogy and siege and storm is the worst. AND i believe that six of crows is better than crooked kingdom. so if they had the two best storylines going at the same time it would be too much. having book one of the trilogy go with a new storyline makes sense cause then six of crows gets it’s special moments also since there’s two SoC and three SaB then both storylines will end at the same time and then maybe they could make a season about king of scars which kinda follows the shows format of two or more storylines. that was such a long rant hahaha but yeah :)

Daphne Belle | 17 comments so i read this trilogy after soc and ck and at first i was super nervous cause people were saying that it wasn't good and all but i really enjoyed it! not as much as six of crows of course but it was still really fun to read and i liked a lot of the characters too. im so excited for season 2 on netflix!!
