A Book & a Related Gift - GIFT GUIDE discussion

Gift: A towel (any type, but I prefer a bath-sized one), and a small box of Kellogg's Cornflakes. Don't explain.

I suppose that this book might be getting a bit dated, now that the internet and Wikipedia exists (I swear Adams foresaw its advent!), but with that in mind, this is a book everyone needs to read.

You don't have to buy the omnibus edition shown. If the recipient is multi-lingual or a little dorky like me, you can pick up translations of this title in virtually any language you can imagine (would be a sweet gift - a mini-collection of these in various human languages... you see, we don't have a Babel Fish. And if you think that's just an online translator, you must be quite young!).
