February 2022 - Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Going with our “two theme” for the month, there are many ways to interpret this prompt. You could chose a book with a mirror, a reflection, or a reflected image on the cover. Other options include, reading a fairytale, or picking a book with the word “mirror” in the title. You could also pick a plot in which the character is reflecting back over their life.

I read The Initial Insult. This is about two friends who look back on things that have happened over the course of their friendship over the years.

I read The White Tiger where the narrator who is reflecting back over their life through a letter to someone.

Shattered Mirror by Iris Johansen This one would also work for the artist prompt.

I just happened to read V.E. Schwab's ExtraOrdinary #1 today. It definitely fits the prompt!

I’m taking a book out of the goodreads list for this one. I just started The Thin Place by C.D. Major

Just finished They Do It with Mirrors by Agatha Christie.

I read Mirror Image by Sandra Brown for this one. Kind of a silly premise, but a gripping book nonetheless.

I'm reading The House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig. A retelling of Twelve Dancing Princesses.

I just read Hearts, Keys, and Puppetry by Neil Gaiman with a mirror on the cover and is a part of the plot.

I read In Every Mirror She’s Black by Lola Akinmade Akerstrom. I will also use it for Prompt 25-a wealthy character if I don’t read anything else.

I read (well actually re-read) Deenie by Judy Blume.

I chose to interpret the prompt as being about reflection and read When All Is Said

A very emotional read - it made me cry.

I read Mirrorland by Carole Johnstone. It was recommended by Stephen King, but I wasn't impressed.
