What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this in the early or mid-90s. I think it was probably contemporary at the time, but can't be sure.

In the first book, the main character accompanies a friend to a casting call for a sitcom, but she gets cast instead because she looks like another actress in the show. The friend she went there with hates her now.

The premise of the show is a blending families-Brady Brunch plot. The two teen girls are step-sisters that look alike and hate each other, and I think they might have red hair. At first the actresses hate each other too, but probably became besties eventually.

Pretty sure it was a series. I think the plot of one book involved our main character being anorexic and/or bulimic.
