Justin Jonah dreamed of becoming an F.B.I. agent. After entering the Bureau, he is faced with a moral dilemma in being asked to catch suspects using methods that resembled Entrapment to him. Despite his objections in his conscience to such methods, he goes along with it, because the methods are enshrined as legal by the courts. After sending someone to jail, he takes a break while his conscience weighs on him. To clear his head, he sails off by himself into the Caribbean. As he sets forth, his ship accidentally trails into the wretched Bermuda triangle, after which he begins to lose all sight of land, and all technology on his boat begins to fail. With no knowledge of where he is and no means of communicating with the outside world, a storm breaks in, and he fears for the safety of himself, and his very own life. After the storm calms, an island appears ahead. After landing on the island, he finds that it is inhabited by people, and apparently it is uncharted. After staying for a few nights, he begins to notice strange things about this island, such as the absolute lack of crime on the island, to the extent that they have no words for "killing" or "stealing" in their vocabulary. After explaining to them the meaning of the words in sign language, they begin to laugh, saying that those things don't happen there. Yet that won't last for long.
