In case you haven't gotten started reading yet, or you've noticed its checked out here at the library, Eight Hundred Grapes, is able to be "checked out" on Hoopla as an audio book! You just need your library card to create an account on Hoopla and you can download the audiobook for free to your phone or preferred smart device.

Jessica | 0 comments What's everyone think about this one so far? I'm half way through it. Not a book I'd normally pick up, but I'm enjoying it.

I actually just finished it, and you're right, this isnt something I'd normally read but I oddly found myself enjoying it. Except Ben, Ben was a dingus. LOL

Jessica | 0 comments haha ben was definitely a dingus.

Laura | 5 comments Just finished! I enjoyed this book. I finished LA Weather a few weeks before and they are both had some similarities. I enjoyed Eight Hundred Grapes more. I agree with Ben being a dingus! I liked how the author kept going back in time to reflect on the parents relationship. I didn't like the mom's friend and felt that the same story could have been told without that storyline.

I won't be able to join for the in person discussion this month but hopefully can join next month. I am excited for that book as it is different from my usual reads. Hope you all have a great time.

Laura I'm sorry you won't be able to meet with us again, hopefully we'll catch you in March!

I think I soiled my brain with thrillers, because this was not something I would usually pick up but I'm so glad I picked it for this month because I really enjoyed it!

I wasn't a fan of the mother period. I understand the kids had a great life growing up and all but I feel like she was being super selfish and kind of mean to Georgia. Like she should have taken her side more. I kept waiting for one of her family members to be like, no. Ben is a shit head. I cant believe he did that to you.... But in the long run I guess her mom was supposed to act as that kind of conscious in the back of Georgia's mind, like the angel and devil on her daughter's shoulder?

Still a great book though!
