The group voted to read the Science Fiction nominee Klara and the Sun in March. The winner for this genre was Project Hail Mary. Have you read any of the nominees for this award? Which have you read and what did you think? Which was your favorite?

Do you plan to read any of them in the future? How about setting up a buddy read of one that you are interested in this month? Use this thread to discuss and find a buddy!

Schedule buddy reads here, then set up a separate thread to discuss.

Is there a suggested reading schedule for Klara and the Sun?

No, we will open a discussion thread usually the day before the first of the month, but there is no set schedule. Everyone just reads it during the month and posts their thoughts as they go. We use spoiler tags so no one reads anything they don't want to before they are ready. The threads remain open forever, just moved to a different folder. So if someone ends up reading a book a lot later than the group, they can still add their comments if they'd like to.

What did you think of The Echo Wife? It's on my maybe read shelf. It sounds interesting, but it hasn't gotten the best reviews.

I also think Constance sounds interesting and maybe Girl One.

I don't really recommend it. I did give it 3 stars. Some of it I liked, but it's more horror than science fiction to me.

Thanks, Deborah. I think I'm going to take it off my TBR. That seems to be a common feeling.

You are welcome. It's just a little dark for me right now and not quite the story I wanted it to be.

I can understand that, Deborah. I'm reading a book like that now. It's not what I was expecting or hoping it to be.

Glad you'll be joining us, Pamela. No need to sign up; just jump in the conversation when the thread opens.

Vicki Willis | 1033 comments I don't read a lot from this genre, but I am going to give Rabbits by Terry Miles Rabbits a try.
