Play Book Tag discussion

This was a fast, thought-provoking read full of action and evoking a range of emotions. Taylor escapes a small town in Kentucky to begin a new life, and on her journey, a young child – Turtle - is bundled into her car before the child’s mother drives away. The Bean Trees follow Taylor’s story as she lives the best life she can and handles the situations life throws at her in her day-to-day life. The book was a bit too pointed in getting its message across at times, but the characters were well developed. I want to find out more about where the characters, especially Turtle, go from here, so I will probably read Pigs in Heaven, the sequel to this book, soon.
