Melissa (melissasd) | 1610 comments 1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
I completed the Max Revere series by Allison Brennan and the Midnight, Texas trilogy by Charlaine Harris.

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started 2 new series:
Gabriella Rose series by Janet Evanovich
Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber
I will be continuing them both. I just have to wait for book 2 in the Gabriella Rose series.

3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
I moved forward in 3 series:
Sisterhood series by Fern Michaels (#3)
A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas (#2)
Kovac and Liska series by Tami Hoag (#2)

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I am a YA fantasy addict and absolutely loved A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses #2) by Sarah J. Maas. The characters and world building are the best.
I also really enjoyed Caraval by Stephanie Garber. Caraval was described vibrantly and became a place I'd love to see.

5. Overall summary of your reading month?
7 more books down. I'm pretty happy with being ahead of my yearly goal and have enjoyed every book I've read.

It was a slow reading month for me. I only finished 5 books. The good news is they were all very good!

Christina T (crysteena73) | 558 comments 1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
Yes I finished the Soldier Bears trilogy by Terry Bolryder by reading books 2 and 3 Big Sexy Bear★★★ and Big Strong Bear ★★ respectively. Big Sexy was better of the two but Big Strong was a disappointment. Scarred tortured hero? Yes Please! A hunka hunka burnin' man whose smoldering look can make another grown man cross the street to avoid walking passed him? Double Yes Please! One that tends to grunt one-word answers when asked questions but will scoop a plus sized woman off of her feet, so she doesn't get her shoes muddy? Throw me over your shoulder and take me off with your bad self! Too bad his personality was completely opposite once he was with his mate again. Oh, and don't get me started on the miscommunication issues UGH.

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Yes I started these
Cedar Hills Lions series by Zoe Chant with the first book Lawman Lion a quick read but left a lot to be desired. Could have been a lot better ★★Probably won't pick up the second unless I need it to fit into a challenge.
Kinsmen series by Ilona Andrews. I read the first two short stories in this series Silent Blade★★★★ and Silver Shark★★★ I liked them both and hope to get to the third and last in March
Pacific Northwest Bears by Moxie North with the first book being Bearly Cooking★★★
Awakened Dragons series by Terry Bolryder with the first book Onyx Dragon★★★ Good enough to continue for sure. It was a fun book to see an all powerful full of himself Dragon leashed in the modern world and try and learn how to appreciate and protect humans.
Witch Way Librarian Mysteries by Angela M Sanders with the first book Bait and Witch★★★1/2 It was ok enough to try the next.
Grim Dating series by Eve Langlais's first book in the series Pushing Up Posies★★★1/2 A very enjoyable listen but had some issues (hence the 3.5 stars and nothing higher)

3. Did you move forward in any series (that you didn’t complete or finish)? How many?
Yes. I moved forward in 4. Book 2 in the Graceling series by Kristin Cashore, Books 5.5, 6, 7, and 8 of the Immortal Guardian series by Dianne Duvall, book 4 in the Enchanted Bakery series by Bailey Cates, and book 2 in the Library Lover's Mystery series by Jenn McKinlay.

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I re-read For the Roses★★★★★ I never get tired of reading this book over and over. I just think Julie Garwood's historical romances are something special. I miss her writing them.

5. Overall summary of your reading month?
18 books this month. Most were 3 star average reads but still enjoyable. I think all my short shifter books have been contributing to my higher numbers plus the 2 kinsman books were barely novella sized. I'm pleased with what I've read.
