It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey - Restarting February 7th 2024

I'll be starting this later on tonight! Can't wait to read this one!

I'm so hoping Tessa Bailey makes Piper's character development good! Right now she is the definition of a blonde bimbo! 🙈
I can already tell i'm going to love reading Hannah's book though!"
There are signs from early on that Piper is not as shallow as she first appears. Can't believe I didn't spot there's a sequel...had to get it on Kindle but up for a BR.

I wanted to imagine nobody could be so clueless, but I like the fact they're from such different experiences.

Yeah i think that's why it was more a 4.5 than a 5 stars for me but still enjoyed! I'm hoping to get the paperback when it comes out in mid April so maybe we could BR it sometime then!

Absolutely. I'll try to remember - think it's due out around mid-April isn't it?

Yeah, she has a lot of growing up to do

She has her moments for sure

Yes for sure! I like seeing people help each other out

I really loved this book! It was more 4.5 stars for me but i still loved it! The way Brendan was willing to move closer to LA for her was everything!!!!
I still think what Mick said to Pi..."
I liked it too! (view spoiler) I'll definitely read the sequel!
Piper hasn’t even been in Westport for five minutes when she meets big, bearded sea captain Brendan, who thinks she won’t last a week outside of Beverly Hills. So what if Piper can’t do math, and the idea of sleeping in a shabby apartment with bunk beds gives her hives. How bad could it really be? She’s determined to show her stepfather—and the hot, grumpy local—that she’s more than a pretty face.
Except it’s a small town and everywhere she turns, she bumps into Brendan. The fun-loving socialite and the gruff fisherman are polar opposites, but there’s an undeniable attraction simmering between them. Piper doesn’t want any distractions, especially feelings for a man who sails off into the sunset for weeks at a time. Yet as she reconnects with her past and begins to feel at home in Westport, Piper starts to wonder if the cold, glamorous life she knew is what she truly wants. LA is calling her name, but Brendan—and this town full of memories—may have already caught her heart.
