** WPF ** Jason Jessup is about to be granted another trial after being incarcerated for 24 years for the murder of a young girl. Of all the things Mickey Haller expects, it is not to be asked to be part of the prosecution team working with his ex-wife prosecutor Maggie MacPherson. The head prosecutor, Maggie's boss, feels that they need an independent member of the bar, rather than the state to be head of this team. Against, his better judgment, Mickey agrees to take the job.
This is also a chance for Mickey to get to know his half-brother Harry Bosch. I'd forgotten that they were related. The story was a good one and moved along very nicely. It was interesting having Mickey "on the other side of the aisle."
Connelly writes an excellent story even stepping out of police activities and moving on to trial work. He managed to give the reader an interesting perspective in this one.
