It takes place in Algiers where Meursault lives. He seems to be a very observant person almost like a stalker when we first see how he pays attention to little detail and has a heartless personality because of the things he says. He is someone with little regret and even isn't phased by the death of his mother. You might think well where does this story go? After he has started a relationship with a woman Marie Cardona he later is on stand at trial.
One day while he is away with others he gets into trouble by killing an Arab on the beach. He defends his actions most of the time by his sensitivity to light. So how will it end for a heartless man that agrees to testify in his defense?
