Jay Bakman (jaylovestoread) | 3 comments I really wanted to enjoy this book. I loved the premise, Lore was amazing, and overall the entire book had a great plot. However, I think it was too dragged out, and there are parts that were way too slow for me.

Quinty (Taylor's Version) (queenq) | 589 comments I liked the book. I don't think it necessarily was too dragged out, because yes the book could have been shorter, but that also would have meant less plot twists and personally I enjoyed those. I would have liked there to be a bit more of relationship building between all the different characters though - I get that they were in a time of crisis but really you just trust each other after one talk after disliking each other your entire lives? I did like the plot, but I would have liked some more depth - especially regarding the characters

Emilee | 4 comments I enjoyed this book a lot. I am a sucker for anything mythology related, and the premise was extremely intriguing. I agree that it was a bit slow, but I loved the various plot twists!

Lana ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ | 19 comments The characters in this book were realistic, compelling, and dimensional. By far my favorite part of the book. Nothing had to be explained too many times and nothing was too vague.

Gretchen | 42 comments This book was a wild ride! The characters were awesome and the plot had enough twists and turns to keep you going I liked it!

Nikki Sojkowski (nikkisoj) | 868 comments Lore was such a fun read. I loved the idea of a greek pantheon 'hunger games' set in NYC!

What was everyone's favorite part of the book?

Quinty (Taylor's Version) (queenq) | 589 comments Picking a favourite part is hard for me... I think maybe when Athena "died". It just showed how all the old gods were so sick of it all

Gretchen | 42 comments Well this is harder than I thought I think the scene really meant a lot was when Lore found out that Iro was her friend and had always been her friend and knew what had happened and tried to find her. I liked the part that they are creating their own family after losing everyone. But I gotta say the fight scenes were awesome see too hard to choose

jen (jenn_reads_) | 2 comments I love love loved this book, tbh. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did (esp bc of how long it was), but it totally sucked me in and I got so immersed in the world that the author had built for us tbh. Like Emilee, I'm a big sucker for mythology, especially greek mythology, and I thought it was such an interesting premise/spin on the tales we all already know?

And bc I'm such a softie for found family, I really loved the ending. Them getting a choice and getting to stay with their friends was the best case scenario tbh. I love a good happy ending tbh. And I enjoyed how Lore started taking agency for her actions like the whole "There was nothing fated. Lore had not been chosen for this; she had chosen to come here herself. Every step she'd made, every mistake, had led her here." just made me go !!!

I can't pick a favorite scene bc I'm an indecisive baby but when we find out who Apollo is? That was pretty awesome and unexpected lmao. Also I really liked the whole scene in the underground tunnels like when the whole Athena twist happens.

Also, I know the romance was a sub-plot at best but I'm really really soft for Cas and Lore (Cas in general tbh) like "I don't believe in Fates, but I do believe in you"? "I was born knowing how to do three things - how to breathe, how to dream, and how to love you." ???? sign me tf up

Sorry this got long but I have a lot of feelings about this tbh

Anna | 14 comments I adored this book! I love the mythology aspect to it, although I found it a bit confusing that each character had about two or three names and I definitely had to be continuously flipping to the front of the book to remember who was who - so q bit confusing for me but overall the plot twists were so good and the characters well developed!! I wish there was a bit more between Cas and Lore, I found their romance kind of came out of no where but I always enjoy a cute romance :)

hadja 🍓🐇‧₊˚✧ (hadjax1fa77) im a sucker for Greek mythology so I was so excited to read the book and tbh I really liked it. I had to translate many words lmao but the authors adaptation of the different gods and myths was interesting to read !

Krishaa | 14 comments I loved the main character...
