Fantasy Book Club discussion

I'm bringing back the poll with hopes of having more participation. I'm changing the rules and we'll see how it goes.

First we will have ten books a month to choose from. Initially I will decide on the ten and I will create the first pool. After that I will take "suggestions".

Everyone can make as many suggestions as they wish. I will choose the ten for that month and we will vote on these books.

This way no one has to worry about seconds. As before, all suggestions must be shelved on GR as fantasy primarily. Also, please check our group bookshelf as we won't be including books we've read since January 2018. Check here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

As always no self-nominations (suggestions). All suggestions must be novels, novellas or collections of short stories. All graphic novels, comics, mangas and light novels will not be accepted.

All suggestions must have an available English edition.

Please don't be offended if I don't accept all books. Unlike previously, suggestions can be made anytime. I may choose to put books in buddy reads or one may request to do this. I would like to try and get the buddy reads really going again. This is just an experiment to do things a little different and try and get some more participation.

Thanks, I'm hoping to have good variety in the 10 choices every month. A little new, a little older, a little traditional fantasy and a little urban and other types. We'll see how it goes.

The Shadow of the Gods is the winner and the BOM for April.

Due to the disappointing response at my attempt to bring back the book of the month I'm discontinuing it. We had a great response to the poll but no one participated in the discussion. So, apparently no one is really that interested in it.
